Bath bombs aren’t for everyone. Usually because you need a tub to even use it. Despite this, we thought to cover one of our favourite products for those who are lucky enough to have a bath or who one day aspire to live the luxe life. The LeQure Detox Bomb is made from 100% all natural and vegan ingredients to detoxify and nourish your body. It’s a cylinder shaped, charcoal fizzy that makes the tub a murky grey once dissolved. Doesn’t seem too appealing? Read on.

This isn’t your regular bath bomb that has the bath water smelling like roses – it’s one to help with mineral absorption, electrolyte replenishment, and boosting your metabolism. The ingredients worked harmoniously to remove heavy metals, lactic acid, pollutants, toxins, and destroy free radicals.

Who is LeQure?

LeQure is an Australian owned and made product and targets consumers such as the 20-and-30-somethings who lead lifestyles that aren’t religiously green juice and gluten-free in routine. Particularly those living in more urban areas and lead stressful lifestyles.

LeQure developed a range that can assist in detoxing and replenishing the skin with its vital nutrients conveniently. The highly potent amount of mineral-rich ingredients that are included in their products are absorbed easily through the skin, whether it be a detox spray or a bath bomb to easily penetrate the skins walls. As these ingredients travel far into the bloodstream and systems, it makes ridding toxic waste much less strenuous as a diet or fast would.

First impressions

Fragrance
Being jam-packed full of trace minerals, this bath bomb has hardly any scent. They are essential oil and fragrance free to be suitable for all skin types including sensitivities.

Texture
A rough, cylinder shaped slab.

Efficacy
This bath bomb is recommended for night-time use due to the Magnesium component which can have your muscles completely relaxed afterward, ready for a fantastic sleep. As this is a trace mineral rich formulation, people will respond differently to the detoxification process.

It’s important to listen to your body and if the side effects are too strong – hop out of the bath. The way to tell if it may be too much for you is to monitor your pulse rate – a spike in pulse can indicate it may be too much for you. This bath bomb works best without any shampoos, soaps or body products interacting with the product.

The Good

Magnesium Sulphate - also known as Epsom salts – is best absorbed through water. The ions pass directly into your bloodstream, fast tracking any magnesium deficiency in your blood. This mineral contributes to stabilising hormonal imbalance by reducing over-activity in your brain, ultimately reducing the production of stress hormones like adrenalin and cortisol. It fights inflammation as it’s a natural calcium channel blocker, too.

Potassium Bitartrate has been found to help in the relief of UTI conditions as it can assist in stabilising the pH of your urine. It’s also antitoxin and antibacterial in nature, meaning that a small amount can help prevent symptoms of acne. Further, the pH balancing action found in this ingredient has also been shown to soothe symptoms of heartburn.

Sodium Humate (Fulvic Acid) is a highly detoxifying ingredient due to its absorptive capacity to soak up and isolate toxins. It can also assist in absorption of nutrients as it lowers the surface tension of water, allowing water to penetrate and hydrate other molecules more efficiently. It’s also effective in fighting against fungal and bacterial pathogens resistant to other drugs.

Kaolin Clay is one of the most renowned clays as it’s suitable for all skin types, particularly sensitive skin. The main component being kaolinite, is a layered silicate mineral which helps sit in the skin pores to prevent blockage by oil-based substances. It’s a natural exfoliant and skin refiner due to its absorbent qualities.

The Questionable

There are no questionable ingredients in this product.
