Acure Brilliantly Brightening Facial Scrub
— Facial Scrub
A formulated facial scrub targeting the removal of dead skin cells, the Brilliantly Brightening Facial Scrub aims to nourish, hydrate and brighten after effectively removing the build-up of dirt and grime. Formulated with lightly active ingredients such as Sea Kelp Powder and Acai and Pomegranate Fruit extracts, as well as lightly abrasive Walnut Shell Flower and Lemon Peel granules, the top layer of skin will be lightly buffed away to introduce a fresher, brightened complexion.
The facial scrub will benefit those with blackheads, dark spots, enlarged pores, or suffer from pigmentation. This product should not be used if you suffer from sensitivities, as the more active ingredients can be too over-stimulating.

A botanical blend of fruit extracts and herbal blends creates a subtle, yet refreshing scent. Hints of spearmint develop as the product is massaged into the skin.
The coarseness of this facial scrub is quite rough, as the walnut shell flour alongside shrub extracts form a granular consistency to deliver a deep scrub to the skin’s surface. The moisturising components add a slight nourishing and conditioning effect on the skin.
This scrub is said to be appropriate for all skin types, however due to the abrasive texture and active fruit extracts, skin types that are prone to inflammation or irritation may find this will further their concerns.

Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Fruit Extract is a powerhouse antioxidant for the skin that protect against environmental damage, providing action against free radical damage during inflammation. The extract is rich in flavonoids, essential fatty acid, and phytosterols, making it a remarkable ingredient for anti-ageing effects, as well as an effective moisturiser to heal dry skin conditions.
Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract is soothing for many skin types and serves as an anti-inflammatory. It’s incredibly hydrating due its high-water content and includes many rich antioxidants such as Vitamin A, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C, as well as active enzymes that nourish the skin surface. Many manufacturers find this ingredient particularly useful in large quantities due to its effectiveness as a skin moisturiser, as well as its ability to cool the skin. Not only is this music to a beach-goer’s ears, but those who naturally hold more heat in their skin will benefit from buying skincare products that use Aloe Vera as a core component.
Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract is used for its astringent, masking and tonic properties. Blackberries are very high in antioxidants, and have been used for centuries for their medicinal properties. The antioxidant present, ellagic acid, has been marked to prevent collagen destruction and UV damage that lead to wrinkles. Also packed with Vitamin C and E to maintain healthy fats and act as firming agents for optimum skin health.
Calendula officinalis (Calendula) Oil is an extract from marigold flowers. It’s often used for dry and damaged skin due to its regenerating anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Its natural restorative properties infuse the skin with a youthful glow and protects the skin against premature ageing.
Glyceryl Laurate is a produced from vegetable-derived glycerine and lauric acid. It’s used for skin conditioning and deodorant applications. Little research has been done on this particular ingredient, however it’s worth noting that high concentrations of exposure to this ingredient may cause erythema (inflammatory skin response). We recommend to patch test prior to use of this product.
